To date the City of Burlington has been allocating $90,000 a year to support low barrier housing during winter seasons. In my administration, we will establish a ‘tiny home village’ program for those experiencing chronic homelessness in Burlington and those that are experiencing transitional housing needs. This approach, which will include wrap-around services and support for those in need, will take strong collaboration with many partners seeking to eradicate homelessness and provide housing at the local, state and federal levels.
